I did not know what to expect when starting a blog.
I had a case of extreme writers block.
The text states the various tools an web blogger should
know and utilize to maximize the traffic.
Some of these tools include wikis, online photo galleries, and RRS. The RRS stands for the Really Simple
Syndication which the author describes as the technology tool that allows
educators to subscribe to feeds of information. (Richardson) Richardson
compares the RRS feed as a "killer app" because of the convenience of
receiving the information faster than normal research.
The first thing I had to do was create a an account
through Blogger.com This set required
that you had an existing email account through gmail. Once this was established signing up was not
that difficult.
The next step was deciding on a name for the blog. I assumed it should be our first or last name
so I went with that. After doing some
research I realized it seemed rather boring.
I then decided to rename it to something
more appealing.
I thought that once you named your blog you were stuck
with it, however I looked through blogger.com’s instructions and found the
settings feature. This allowed me to
change various aspects of my blog.
SO WELCOME TO MY NEW BLOG RENAMED: MY FIRST EDUCATION BLOG

Jen,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you have been able to make changes and updates to your blog! It took me several attempts to finally find a template that worked for me. Looking forward to reading more of your posts!
Your layout looks very nice!
ReplyDeleteI struggled with naming my blog, too, especially considering the name I wanted (and all variations of that name) were taken! I'm glad you found the settings option...I didn't like my first blog title either, and when I went to change it, I didn't like how you couldn't change the url. So I just scrapped my first one and started a second one. Your method was far more practical though!
